Product Overview

Flanged Thermocouple & RTD Assemblies

Temperature sensor assemblies built around process flange connections for nozzles, vessels, and piping.

Flanged Assembly Process Interface

Flanged assemblies are specified when the process connection controls the sensor design. Pressure class, flange face, insertion length, sheath material, thermowell need, and head or termination style determine the final build.

Flanged thermocouple assembly with stainless process flange, probe sheath, fitting, and connection head

Flanged Process Assembly

Pressure-rated flange build with the process connection, probe/sheath, fitting, and head or termination style configured around the installation.

Flange Material Selection

General Process Service

Carbon steel flange material for utility and moderate-temperature service.

Corrosive or Wet Service

Stainless flange material for wet, corrosive, and general process environments.

High-Alloy / Sour Service

High-alloy flange material for aggressive chemistry, chloride exposure, or sour service.

Hydrogen Service

Chrome-moly flange material for high-temperature hydrogen service and hydrocracker units.

Cryogenic Service

Low-temperature stainless flange material selected for toughness in cryogenic duty.

Thermowell with Flanged Assembly

In high-velocity or abrasive process streams, direct-insertion flanged sensors can suffer erosion or vibration fatigue. Thermometrics can supply the flanged assembly with an integral thermowell: the flange connects to the nozzle, the thermowell provides the pressure boundary and mechanical protection, and the sensor element is a separable spring-loaded probe inside the thermowell bore. Thermowell selection should account for wake frequency, unsupported length, bore fit, pressure rating, and process velocity.
