Sanitary RTDs use cleanable probe geometry, hygienic process connections, and materials selected for washdown, CIP/SIP, food, beverage, pharma, and biotech environments. The sensor is usually specified by connection style, insertion length, surface finish expectation, calibration requirement, and replacement access.

Hygienic Process Geometry

Sanitary RTD geometry is selected around the process connection, insertion depth, cleanability requirement, and replacement access. Flush-mount and hygienic connection styles can be reviewed when the measurement point needs to minimize product hold-up and support washdown or clean-in-place practices.
