Product Overview

Miniature RTD Sensors — Needle Probe · Small OD · Precision RTDs

Compact platinum 100 ohm (Pt100) and platinum 1000 ohm (Pt1000) RTD assemblies for tight-space instrumentation, validation work, and high-accuracy measurement where thermocouple drift is not acceptable.

Miniature RTD Package Fit

Miniature RTDs use compact probe geometry for narrow passages, small fixtures, and low-mass test setups where accuracy still matters.

Compact RTD Probe Assembly

Small-OD RTD build for instrumentation packages, test fixtures, chamber mapping, and other installations where a larger sheath would be mechanically intrusive.

Miniature RTD Configurations

Small-OD Thin-Film RTD Probe

Thin-film platinum 100 ohm (Pt100) or platinum 1000 ohm (Pt1000) element in a stainless probe 3.2 mm (1/8") diameter or smaller for compact, fast-response measurement. Common in environmental chambers, medical device testing, electronics fixtures, and clean instrumentation packages.

Wire-Wound Precision Miniature RTD

Wire-wound element construction where long-term stability and tighter tolerance matter more than minimum cost. Used for validation programs, calibration fixtures, and laboratory or metrology-adjacent measurement points that still require a physically small package.

Needle-Tip RTD Probe

Needle-style RTD construction for insertion into narrow passages, small bores, thin materials, or compact tooling. Typically specified when the application needs better repeatability than a thermocouple but still requires a very small sensing geometry.

Selection Guidance

Wire Count

3-Wire Miniature RTD

The common industrial choice where space is tight but the signal still lands on a PLC, DCS, or transmitter input expecting lead-resistance compensation.

4-Wire Miniature RTD

Preferred for laboratory, semiconductor, validation, and long-lead installations where maximum accuracy matters more than wiring simplicity.

Where These Are Used

Semiconductor & Electronics

Fixture, chamber, wafer-adjacent, and process-tool measurement where small form factor and accuracy both matter.

Medical, Lab, and Validation

Compact probes for qualification rigs, device testing, environmental chambers, and precision thermal studies.

What to Share for Review

  • Probe diameter limit, insertion depth, and any bend-radius constraints
  • Platinum 100 ohm (Pt100) or platinum 1000 ohm (Pt1000) preference and target tolerance
  • 3-wire or 4-wire requirement and lead length to the instrument
  • Media, ambient temperature, and whether the probe tip is exposed, sleeved, or encapsulated
  • Calibration, traceability, or documentation expectations for the program
